Focal Point Serbia

There is no Pro Silva organisation existing in Serbia, although there is interest in cooperation and contacts.

Serveral excursions led to Serbia. They also have some demonstration areas. But scientific research in regards of Pro Silva is difficult.

In the year 2007 a committe of Pro Silva visited Serbia with an exkursion. A report of that excursion was published in the posts of the old Pro Silva Website

Difficulties in Serbia

As Prof. Martin Bobinac reported that there is an ongoing resistance to support scientific work in establishing permament plots for silvicultural research do to unknown political reasons. He informed us several times about the unfavorable conditions and asked to put one official statement in Serbian and English language on our website. This should motivate European foresters to encourage Serbian foresters to show interest for Pro Silva understanding the the fundamental values behind the Pro Silva Principles.
