Vincent Troost was elected on 23rd January 2025 as new president of Pro Silva Nederland

The establishment of Pro Silva Montenegro was initiated by Franc Ferlin. On October 26th the founding assembly singed the decision on establishing the NGO “Pro Silva Montenegro”.

The next annual meeting will take place in the center of island Sardegna (Italy) from May 7th to 9th.

Pierangelo Miola from Vicenza was eleted as new president of Pro Silva Italia

Bill Mason, has been CCFG Chair for over 10 years and has provided kind and gentle guidance. On beginning of May 2024 her participated in his last field trip. We also present the new committee.

At the General Assemly of Pro Silva in Myjava, May 28th new board members were elected. Tomáš Vrška took over precidency, and Eckart Senitza will support him as vice president.

Pro Silva Switzerland reports about their activities from 2023 and 2024, and their outlook for 2025. One highlight was a forest trip to Alsac-Luxemboourg-Wallonia.

EU has published and translated guidelines on closer-to-nature forest mangement in all European languages.

The next Annual Meeting of Pro Silva will be in Myjava (western Slovakia) from 28th to 31st May under the title "Upscaling close to nature practices for wider acceptancence"

In late 2023 Pro Silva Slovakia had collaboration with researchers from Zvolen and nation wide TV appareance

Many of the historical Annual Meetings are documented online now. 9 meetings from 1990 to 2001 will be under reconstruction soon.

Pro Silva was invited as a European organisation to Brussels for the conference "Forests for Biodiversity and Climate". The 30th anniversary event in September 2019 was also well received.
