• Narrow scientific field of Silviculture. Field of interest: Old-growth forests research, selection forest management, special purpose silviculture
• Dean Faculty of Forestry Banja Luka: 2008-2016.
• Member of the Board of Biotechnical Sciences at the Academy of Sciences and Arts of the Republic of Srpska

The Pro Silva interest group has not yet been established in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Given the political structure of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the organization of forestry under the jurisdiction of the entities (Republika Srpska and the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina), interest groups may be established at the level of entity forestry.

There is an interest of foresters to establish interest groups but so far they have not founded independent organizations Pro Silva.

Representatives from Republika Srpska were invited and participated in the Pro Silva meetings:

• Ossiach, Austria, 2011 (PhD Zoran Govedar and Mr Srdjan Keren) and
• Radlje, Slovenia, 2019 (PhD Zoran Govedar and Srdjan Bilic, forestry student)

We still hope that an independent organization will be established in the Republika Srpska / Bosnia and Herzegovina, which brings together young people with an open mind and spirit.

A seminar was held on the topic "Afforestation and management of forest crops in the Republic of Srpska" - Jahorina, February 28, 2020.

The organizer is the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management JPS "Forests Republika Srpska ”, Faculty of Forestry from Banja Luka and Public Forestry Enterprise “Forests of the Republic of Srpska”.

On the occasion of the International Forest Day (March 21), a round table is usually organized on a topic that is current according to the FAO. This year, World Forest Day was dedicated to Forests and Biodiversity. However, due to the virus (Covid 19), a round table was not held, but a collection of papers on the topic "Education in forestry of the Republic of Srpska" was prepared. The topic of education was dedicated to the International Day of Forests in 2019. The collection should be published by June 2020.
