Abies 2019

Dorota Dobrowolska and Janusz Szmyt will host the 50^th anniversary of Abies IUFRO unit in Krakow (May 2019):

The main aim of the conference is to bring knowledge on fir species together. The experts and scientists from many countries of the world shared their knowledge on ecology and silviculture of different Abies species.

In Krakow (Poland) they will continue to exchange of knowledge and experiences on Abies species from gene and species level to population and ecosystem level. In this conference we welcome contributions in the following topics:

silviculture of fir species in changing environment
management of fir forests in different environmental conditions
phylogeny and gene exchange among Abies species
protection and conservation of Abies species in changing environment

Conference date: 28-30 May 2019
Post-conference tour: 31 May - 2 June 2019
