Pro Silva Strategy 2023+

After 1 ½ years work Pro Silva developed and published the "Pro Silva Strategy 2023+" as guideline for further development.

Annual Meeting 2025 Sardegna (Italy)

The next annual meeting will take place in the center of island Sardegna (Italy) from May 7th to 9th.

Pro Silva Montenegro established

The establishment of Pro Silva Montenegro was initiated by Franc Ferlin. On October 26th the founding assembly singed the decision on establishing the NGO “Pro Silva Montenegro”.

30th Anniversary Pro Silva Bohemica

At the End of April Pro Silva Bohemica celebrated its 30th anniversary in Brno. Speeches of honory guests were followed by lectures, a panel discussion with guests and a field trip.

EU has published and translated guidelines on closer-to-nature forest mangement in all European languages.

New President of Pro Silva Greece

In October 2019 Pro Silva Greece elected a new president and secretary.

Dr. Ioannis SPANOS, director researcher at the Forest Research Institute of Thessaloniki (dpt. of Silviculture and Forest Ecology) took over presidency from Nikos Grigoriadis, who takes a sabbatical and travelled to Canada.

Ioannis Spanos allready participated in serveral annual meetings of Pro Silva (Romania, Slovenia).

The new secretary of the Hellenic Forestry Society and ProSilva Greece ist Ioannis Tzatsanis.

We wish a good continued collaboration, espesially with the other mediterranean members Croatia, Italy, Spain and Portugal and also the new members under developement Bosnia, North Macedonia and Kosovo.
