Registration

The registration fee is € 480 and includes:

  • accommodation for three nights in Hotel in a double room (check-in on 7th May, check out on 10th May)
  • transport for meeting and excursion program
  • meals

Please note that the fee is per person sharing a room. An additional fee (full room rates is € 550) will be charged for single occupancy.
To register, please fill out the form with the required data, which was send with invitation letter.

The bank transfer description must contain:

Registrations (compilation of the registration form) will close on 15th March 2025. The payment will be must be made until 15th April 2025. Registration is considered completed after the payment of the registration fee.

Programme Focus

The meeting will provide a valuable opportunity to delve into the challenges and opportunities associated with implementing close-to-nature forestry in Mediterranean areas. It will focus on the socio-cultural, environmental, and climatic factors unique to these regions, highlighting both the difficulties and innovative solutions for integrating sustainable management principles into such territorial contexts.

Key topics will include:

  • Coppice management and forest commons as traditional forest uses, alongside innovative approaches to integrating Pro Silva principles into these practices.
  • Integrated forest management for balancing biodiversity conservation with wood and cork production.
Schedule & Travel

Time schedule

  • Wednesday 7th May – travel day for arrival and AGM meeting
  • Thursday 8th May and Friday 9th May – meeting and excursion program
  • Saturday 10th May – return trip or individual travel program

Arrival

  • Tuesday, May 6th, or Wednesday morning, May 7th (flights must arrive no later than 11 AM).
  • By car directly to the venue in Gavoi
  • By air: Olbia, Cagliari or Alghero airports
  • By ferry: Olbia, Cagliari, Porto Torres, Golfo Aranci (own car needed for Porto Torres and Golfo Aranci) Departure
  • Saturday, May 10th, with organized transport from Gavoi to Cagliari, Olbia, and Alghero.

Details for airports or ferry you find in the invitaatio letter or with the confirmation of your registration.

The closest airport or port that is recommended is Olbia.

Please note that the meeting venue is not easily accessible by public transport.

Transfers from/to airports will be provided by the organization at a rate to be defined according to the number of participants, travel schedules and requests. - Further details will be provided close to the event date.
